End of Season Tounament

Way to go Tyke  Belleville Jr

It felt good to be back at the rink for a last tournament game!
Griffin  and his team played well and all the boys came home with a new medal!

Grandma and Grandpa even got to come to the game!

Way to go Tyke Belleville Jr. Bulls!

Griffin's 8th Birthday Party!

Griffin celebrated his birthday with 19 of his closest friends on Friday night!
yes, the whole hockey team plus a few more)
He decided on the Ramada with the pool and waterslide and a Montreal Canadiens theme.

The boys had a lot of fun playing noodle hockey, and with the prize board!

As requested, Griffin wanted cupcakes for his friends!

and a candy bar for the boys to pick out their treats for their loot bags!
Nothing could be more fitting than a candy bar for this little guy!

I made these loot bags for each of the boys with their name and
hockey number on them to look just like a jersey!

After they boys were fed and had played a few games, it was time for the pool party!
Hot tubing, water sliding and fun!
The boys had a great time and even one of the dad's too!

Griffin has a great bunch of kids on his team and he has been very lucky to have made such a wonderful group of friends!

Once the party was over, we came home and Griffin opened all of his presents!
Spoiled.... this little guy got a ton of great gifts!
Happy Birthday Griffin!

This little guy turned 8!

Griffin turned 8 on March 26th!  Hard to believe how fast time flies!
It feels like just yesterday that I had this baby boy.
Now he has grown into a smart, funny, outgoing boy with lots of spunk!
Anyone that meets him, just loves him!  I am one lucky mom!

Griffin loves the Lone Star, I am pretty sure it is because he wants to ride the horse and wear the big cowboy hat, unless the chicken fingers are just that much better there :)
We went out for a family dinner, just as he requested.  We had surprised him the morning of his birthday and told him we were taking him to the Senators game that evening in Ottawa, but he chose to stay home and just go out for dinner!

According to Griffin, the best part about being 8 is no longer having to use a car seat!
Happy Birthday to my little boy!

A&W Bear!

The boys have made a tradition of going to A&W for breakfast on the weekend!  Each visit, Griffin would ask if the bear was there.  On the day we arrived home from Myrtle Beach, we were alerted that the bear was actually at the restaurant.  This was an opportunity that could not be missed!  The guys jumped in the car and off they went to meet the A&W bear!

My Birthday!

I celebrated my birthday in Myrtle Beach this year!  I was very fortunate to have some great friends to join us for dinner at the Outback!

Even better, the group beside us were also celebrating a birthday, and once they were were leaving they brought the rest of their cake over to our party to enjoy!  I've never quite had a cake passed on before but it certainly made for a great story.

Once we were done, the cake got passed on again to the next party we heard having happy birthday sung!

Thanks to the Lees and Yeos for helping me celebrate my birthday!

March Break Fun!

As much as we dread the drive, road trips are actually fun! Our road trip this March break took us to Myrtle Beach.  We were really undecided as to whether we were actually going to go because the weather had been quite cool in Myrtle Beach.  But warm weather came in just in time.  In fact we had fantastic hot weather.  High of 27 on a few of the days!

Our family is also a little crazy about just driving and driving.... we had actually planned to stop for the night on the way down, but ended up driving the whole way through!  We arrived at midnight in Myrtle beach and checked into a hotel with 20 degree weather.

The next day we up early and ready to explore Myrtle Beach!  We had four families in town that we knew and spent loads of time mini putting, beaching, dinners out, and hanging at the pool together!

This picture is a view from our walk way to the beach!
The kids had a lot of fun in the lazy river at our hotel.  There were also 2 indoor water parks that they loved as well!  The last time we were in Myrtle Beach it was far too cold to use any of the outdoor pools or beach. It was a real treat this time!

The boys discovered Build a Bear for boys... but with remote control cars.  They got to pick out all the parts and even some fancy accessories to add to their cars.  Only catch.... very very expensive!

\

One of our favourite activities was walking the beach in the morning and looking for sea shells. After meeting someone that had found shark teeth, our walks quickly turned into a whole new adventure.... shark teeth was our hunt!  We were able to find a few, but it was hard work!

Boardwalk at the Beach is a tourist attraction with Imax, shops, mini putting, tons of restaurants and tons of fun!  One evening we met up with the Lees and Yeos for dinner!

These are a few of my favourite family beach shots!  I was hoping to get some on one of the hot days, but the boys taking turns being sick cut into our hot weather days!

A great time had by our entire family!  Glad we made the decision to go!

One more day!

Tube-Tacular Fun!

When we visited my parents a weekend back, we took the boys tubing!
We all love it and had a ton of fun!

Last Game Winner!

Griffin played his last game of the season last Sunday. It was a team higher in the rankings and they had never beat them.

These boys game out to play. It was a nail biter!

Griffin scored the winning goal with 3 minutes to go.
He also received a penalty with 28 seconds left after he tripped an opponent  about to score.
It's now 6 on 4, the goalie was pulled.
Bulls win!! The crowd went wild!!
Great way to end the season!!

Griffin was thrilled because he scored the last goal and the last penalty!

Great season Griffin!

End of Season Party!

Owen went bowling with the boys last Friday for his end of season party!

He had s blast. He has made some really good friends, and boy has he developed as a hockey player!
Way to go Owen!

Shhhhh... It's a Surprise!

Griffins team was completely surprised when they turned up for their last weekend of road trip hockey games and the Bulls bus was waiting for them.

The boys were thrilled and treated like kings! Treat bags in the way there and back. Lunch provided by nolans grandfather and a team dinner on their way home!

Even the mothers had fun! As soon as the boys were dropped off we had the bus driver take us shopping!

When asked what was the best part, griffin replied "everything!  Best ride of his life!"

Not bad for a 7 year old!

Proud Hockey Mom

This boy just finished his season of Atom AA hockey!!

Although his team didn't rack up a ton of wins, he was certainly was a winner in our eyes!!

This year, Owen has developed a real love of hockey. He works hard to better himself, reads about it all the time and loves the game and his team.

I am one proud hockey mom!

Zombie Mom??

What??? Griffin thinks I look like a zombie?? Nope, just loves drawing zombies, so why not make me one!!

I actually love my portrait, pink dress, purple hair and all!

Tube-tacular Fun!

On Saturday we went to visit my parents. In the evening we slipped in some tubing at Chicopee ski hill!

We had a blast! I must say tubing is a lot of fun. The kids loved getting the guys to spin us as fast as they could down the hill!  We raced each other down the hill as fast as we could hoping to smash into the bagged barriers!!

Tube-tacular fun!
