Happy Birthday to my Dad!

68 years young!

36 and still running!!

Here we go again!

Rainbow Loom Crazy!

Griffin has a new hobby... well mommy too!

Griffin has been making bracelets at school and at home, he even recruited mommy to make the harder ones.... and now I sit at night following instructions on you tube on how to make the latest bracelet he wants!
I must admit, I've gotten pretty good at it :)

This is Steve from Mindcraft
More pics to follow!

Snow day, Play day!

Owen had two of his hockey buddies over on Sunday for a play day... boy was there ever a lot of snow.  I went out to snap a couple of pics and came back covered in snow up to my thighs!  It was really deep, and at times when the boys fell down, they were completely covered.... they loved it!!

 Frosty cheeks!
 The boys!
Brett the ham!

Holy Snow Batman!

This has been quite the winter!  Reminiscent of the winters when I was young!
Snow day, after snow day after snow day, the only difference.... they use to close schools when I was young, now they don't!

The boys have been loving it!  We are very fortunate that they just walk across the street and they can toboggan. Both of them love be outside, and love the snow.  We have yet to build a snowman... much to Griffin's dismay, but we just haven't had the right kind of snow.

This winter has also been all about hockey!  We are at the rink most of the week, either for practice, power skating, games or watching!  This is the year that both boys have gone hockey crazy!

Forecast is calling for another snow storm this Saturday, we may just have another cancelled play off game!  Cross your fingers we don't!

Mmmm... Juan Pablo!

Nothing makes returning to work after Christmas better than knowing the Bachelor starts!
Love this show..... and I think Tony secretly does too!!

Chillin'

It's not every day you get to sit with a bull!

900

If you know my dad, you know winning this jar of jelly beans
was like winning the lottery for him!
Lucky guess 900!  Just 66 off!
And if you do know my dad, you know he has already hidden
the jar so he doesn't have to share :)

Birthday Boy!!

Happy Birthday Tony!

Skating at City Hall and dinner at Harpers!
Perfect Birthday!
Love you!

A rare quiet moment!

I don't get many of these!  I'll take them when I get them!

New Years Eve!

Happy New Years everyone!
Looking forward to 2014, and all the good things to come!
Wishing you and yours all the best!

Senator's Game!

As a Christmas surprise, Santa brought our family tickets to the Senator's Game (Griffin's favourite team)!  We arrived early to watch the warm up, and a good look at the players, because after that we were going all the way up to find our seats!

Throughout the game, we watched Sparty moving around the rink and finally got the chance to meet him!  Griffin was thrilled!

Can you believe, this was my first NHL game as well?? These boys are spoiled!

Griffin used his money to buy Sparty the mascot  and was thrilled to have him along with his monkey.

The boys loved the game, the Sens won 3-1, and it was the perfect holiday outing!
Thanks Santa!

Build a Bear Hockey Style!

We stopped at Build a Bear, so the boys could build their hockey pets!  Owen chose a dog and Griffin chose a monkey (not surprise there!!)

Owen's dog was all dressed up in Vancouver Canucks wear and he named him Gizmo!

Griffin named his monkey JJ and dressed him in a Senators jersey!
This was a highlight of the day for both of them and mom too!

Skating in Ottawa!

We took the boys to Ottawa to see the Senators game this week, and stopped at City Hall to skate at the new rink.  It was perfect, except for the -21 weather.  We didn't skate long, but the Beaver tale and hot chocolate helped us get back out on the rink for a while longer.  Best part of the skate, was Griffin learning how much he loved beaver tales... in fact the rest of the weekend... he begged for another!

The at the backdrop for this rink... perfect!  If it weren't for the weather, this would be the perfect place to live, but being back for a bit reminded me of my years at university and remembering the cold!!

Dinner with Liette!

Our good friend Liette was married in BC in the summer and we sadly missed it.
We again missed her hometown reception on NYE, but instead took her and her husband out for dinner.  It was nice to have the time to spend with them, and to get to know her new husband.  Hopefully we will get to visit them in BC in a few years!

Perfect Day!

Perfect Day....
On Sunday, we headed to Kingston.  We went to Tony's favourite, Five Guys for lunch and then headed down to city hall to skate on the outdoor rink.

The weather was perfect for a skate outside.
The boys had a lot of fun, and the setting was great!

After the skate, we headed the Menchies for ice cream!
Perfect day!
