Introducing our new Mud Room!!

 We finally did it...  a new mud room for our house!  If you have ever been over, you know that our front foyer didn't leave us a lot of room for shoes, backpacks, coats, etc.  We came up with the idea of building a mud room in our garage, while still being able to park the cars inside.  We didn't know if it would be big enough to be worth the expense... well, here it is, and we love it!  So much storage, a place to put the backpacks, coats, shoes, boots, extra pantry space, a closet, and more!

Terry Fox Walk

 The boys participated in the Terry Fox walk at school this past week.  Both boys walked for Bonnie, our cousin that is battling cancer and chemo!  Way to go my thoughtful boys!

On the Road and Lovin' It!!

We traveled to Owen's first away hockey game this past weekend, 

and we had a blast! Owen is having a great time, and playing really well.  We are very proud of him!

 

Spontaneous Camp Fire!

After returning from Owen's away hockey game on Saturday, the boys asked if we could have a fire.... it was warm, so why not enjoy one of our last summer evenings with friends!

 Griffin sat down to do his homework tonight, 

and because of the drawing, he was totally into it! 

Griffin is spending a lot of time drawing lately, and he is getting pretty good!

Picture Day!

He sure looks pretty cute....

but getting him ready for picture was not fun.  He hates his hair done, he hates his shirt, his jeans are too long, this boy does not like his picture taken and he sure lets you know it!

Unfortunately, Owen was sick today and missed his picture and more importantly won't be part of his class picture. He probably doesn't mind as much as I do.

Last day of swimming?

Owen is starting a new adventure this fall. He is part of the Novice AE Travel team! He is excited and yet not really sure what is ahead of him. One thing we are both grateful for is daddy being his coach!

Back to Class! I've been out of the classroom for three years. Let me tell you it was an adjustment going back. So much to get ready. But now I'm in the groove and I have some cute bulletin boards to prove it

Don't Let the Summer End Party!

 Nothing ends summer better than an end of summer party!  This was our second annual party and it didn't disappoint.  The kids had a blast swimming, playing, eating, campfire, glow sticks, sparklers, and of course staying up late!

 The party is so infamous even the police came... well to eat anyway!

 The highlight of the party for the adults was the Shrimp Boil!  Bill and Cynthia brought all the fixin's for this southern extravaganza.  This truly was the entertainment for the guys, the prepping, cooking and of course eating!

 

 The popcorn bar was the hit for the kids!  A bucket of popcorn, candies, chocolates and flavoured toppings... an easy hit!

Glowstick Fun!  A great way to end the evening!
