More fun in PEI

On Friday we headed to the other side of the island that we had never explored before. Owen really wanted to go horse back riding. It was quite a neat experience riding horses down a trail and along the beach.

Tony got the Stubby horse and I had Lacey the biter!

Then we headed to the north eastern peak of the island to Basin Head beach. This beach is known for its singing sands and its jumping bridge.

The boys loved jumping. A little nervous at first but then they couldn't stop they had so much fun.

On the way home we stopped in Souris at the beach for fish n chips and a lobster roll for Tony. The beach had tons of sea glass and the boys had a lot of fun searching for it.

We headed to the Sandspit in the evening for one final visit! This place holds a dear spot in the boys heart.

Later Tony and Griffin were signed up for the Zombie Acropolis paintball event. Fighting zombies in the dark to save the world. Griffin LOVED it! Owen and I headed to COWS for one last ice cream cone before we headed home the next morning.

More PEI

Wednesday was a rain day! We headed into Charlottetown and went to the movies. In the evening the rain continued so we headed to the drive in.

Thursday the guys headed to paintball. This was on their top three must do list this summer. They played the whole afternoon.

I gave up going to the Anne musical to have family photos taken. This is our last year going to PEI and I really wanted our family photos to remember our summer trips to such a beautiful place.

In the evening we headed to Chelton Beach when the tide was out. The boys love exploring and finding crabs, creatures and shells. I of course love the sunsets!

I love this picture I captured with the sky's reflection.

PEI Day Two

On our second day we headed to Anne's house. This is a regular pit stop really just for a photo op. It's literally steps behind our cottage.

This year we were in for a big surprise. Anne had really aged! Owen couldn't help but take a selfie with this tour guide who was loving the attention. Love this picture!

Later we headed over to the beach to check out the red rocks. The boys had fun climbing and exploring.

In the evening we went on a deep sea fishing excursion. We went last year and loved it. This year was no different. We caught lots of mackerel and cod. The boys had so much fun fishing. Even me!

Griffins big catch

First Cod of the night! I just might have found a new career!

We finished the evening back at the Sandspit!

I'm the morning we spent our time at the Shining Waters water park. We had fun on the water slides and rides.

Our trip to PEI

We headed to our very favourite summer place last week; PEI. This was our fifth summer returning and we were all very excited to go. It's a long 14 hours but none of us seem to mind.

When we arrived it is our tradition to stop at the welcome centre and have our first of many COWS ice cream cones. Nothing says PEI to me more than my very favourite ice cream!

We them headed to Cavendish and checked into our cottage for the week. We love it here. The owners are great, there's a pool and a playground and just across the road is a path that leads you to the ocean that Tony and I take every morning for our walk.

That evening we headed to Cavendish beach for sunset, my other favourite part of PEI. We caught a beautiful sunset that night.

After we headed to the Sandspit to ride all the rides including the infamous Cyclone roller coaster!

Dunes

We headed to the Dunes on Monday for some fun at the beach. And to beat the heat! The boys had fun climbing the fines and racing down as well as catching minnows.

There's nothing better than spending summer days at the beach with the boys.
And of course friends!

Hair Cuts and Mini Golf

Both Owen and I had our hair done yesterday. Just had to snap a pic because I won't ever make it look so nice!!

Griff was with a friend, so Owen and I headed to mini putt!
Fun with this guy!

Blue Jays

We headed to the Jays game on Wednesday and boy was it HOT!!
But who can complain when you have great seats and your at the Jays game!

And then this happened.... Right in front of me! My luck!
