15 days and counting....

I know you think it is probably a little bit too early to start packing, but when you are going here...

too early doesn't exist!

Bollywood!

So as most of you know, I have the palette of a five year old... Indian food was going to be a challenge for me!

To make up for it, Sarah our lovely hostess put me in charge of the easy items... nan bread, and rice. I did try a few of the dishes, and they were pretty good. But honestly, the appearance of these foods really isn't all that appealing!

The dinner party was a blast.... Jody and her wine, playing "what if?", and ice cream for dessert!

We spent the day at the Bull's Game on the weekend .... first a pizza lunch with Owen's team, Bullie and Ringo! Next was the Bull's game and a medal ceremony for the boys at the end!

Owen is very proud of his medal collection and being a part of his team.

Griffy loves Bullie and was thrilled when he was able to eat his pizza with him! Did you know Bullie loves pepperoni on his pizza??

Love You!!

You had me when you ....

-arrived with a bag of pear jelly bellies
-swirled me around on the dance floor
-watched any girl flick I chose
-took care of me like no other
-swept me quickly off my feet and shortly after proposed
-vowed to love me forever
-raised two beautiful little boys right along side me
-continue to make me feel special

You are my Valentine
Love you!

Roll, Cut, Spell!

On Friday, Griffin used cookie cutters to learn his letters and Owen to spell words. Lots of fun!

Newest Member of the Family

Last weekend we welcomed two little dwarf froggies to our home. They could quite possibly be the best pet ever. You only have to feed them twice a week and clean the tank once a year. Could it be that easy?? And very cute!

Owen called his frog Wicked and Griffin named his ... well we're not really sure it kinda rhymes with wicked but changes slightly each time he tells us the name!

Snow Fort!

Today.... the boys built a snow fort.... and it rocks!

The morning slipped away quickly as the boys worked very hard on building a fort with a tunnel to boot!

Valentine's Day

Who doesn't love Lovie Day!!

The boys and I have been crafting and baking up a storm. Both Owen and Griffy made their own Valentine cards and hand picked the cars for each of their friends. Griffy really went to work counting out the jelly beans and making sure each baggie had each of the items that went inside. It was very cute!

I love how the valentine cards turned out... very appropriate for a boy.

I "WHEELIE" like you
Happy Valentine's day

This morning, I made a special breakfast for the guys. Heart shaped pancakes with strawberries, whip cream and a chocolate heart! YUM!

Speaking of love... Owen went to his girlfriend's birthday party yesterday! He is completely {smitten} with her and she with him. Her mother was telling me yesterday, that she picks out blue clothes to wear because that is Owen's favourite colour. Owen likes her because she likes to play with boy's toys and he likes to play with girl's toys... plus she is beautiful!

I Must Bake These!

Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 sticks softened butter
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
10 oz bag chocolate chips
1 pkg. Oreo cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugars together with a mixer until well combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and baking soda. Slowly add to wet ingredients along with chocolate chips until just combined. Using a cookie scoop take one scoop of cookie dough and place on top of an Oreo Cookie. Take another scoop of dough and place on bottom of Oreo cookie. Seal edges together by pressing and cupping in hand until Oreo cookie is enclosed with dough. Place onto a parchment or silpat lined baking sheet and bake cookies 9-13 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.

Makes about 2 dozen VERY LARGE cookies.
