Soaking up every bit of summer!

This week the boys and I have been trying to fit in as much summer fun as possible!

We headed to water parks, beaches and friends over to the pool!

As much as I'm sad to see summer end, I'm happy with memories I've made with the boys. We've had lots of fun spending time together. I've cherished our mornings when they have crawled in to bed to snuggle, and our late summer nights.

I'm glad we had adventures this summer including  visits with Wendy and Barry in collingwood, visits to the library, camp for Owen, trip to pei, drive in movie, beaches, swimming, camp fires and most of all family time!

Bucket List

We have had the Drive In on our summer bucket list for the lady couple years. This year we actually made it!

The kids loved watched the movie under the starry night, eating snacks, and hanging out with friends!

I even snuck a kiss before we left for old time sake.... Tbird and I had our first kiss here, 14 years ago!!

Golfing in Collingwood

We took the boys golfing a couple of time a while we were visiting Wendy and Barry this past week in Collingwood.

Owen had a great time playing. Griffin had a great time collecting crab apples.

Together made for an interesting twist on the game.... Crab apple golf!

You couldn't help but laugh each time you swung at the apple and watched it smash!

Visit with Wendy and Barry

This week we headed to Collingwood to visit with our friends Wendy and Barry.
The boys love coming up and plaing with their dog Sanka as well as all the other things this area has to offer.

One of their favourite things to do is walk the golf course they live on at night and search for golf balls. They got 41 their first night!

Last night we had a bon fire in their new houses backyard. The boys had a great time until there was mention of coyotes!!
That ended their fun pretty quick!

This is the house Barry has been building for the last year. They are about two weeks from moving in!

Thanks for having us!

Soccer Champ

We arrived back from our trip in time griffins soccer tournament.
It was a hot day and only 5 kids came to play on his team.

They played hard and won the two first games and came short in the final game!

Whale watching on our trip home

To break up the long drive home we booked a whale watching your in rivière de loop. We have wanted to do this each year but haven't had the opportunity.

This year we are so glad to have done it!
We saw tons of whales, buligas, minkes, and great hump back whales. But my favourite was this humpback diving into the ocean right in front if me!
Awesome!

More highlights of PEI

We had a blast on this vacation! From lobster dinners to....
Water parks....
To the Sandspit amusement park....

To sipping Raspberry Cordial....

To armbands to unlimited fun!
PEI holds a special place in our hearts and memories!

COWS Ice Cream!

The highlight of the trip for me is always COWS ice cream! Voted in the top ten of the world and number 1 in my books!

If you haven't had any, it's a must!!

Cavendish Beach

PEI beaches are wonderful! We love to spend lots of time building sandcastles, collecting shells and jumping in the ocean.
This year there were red jelly fish every where. The kids loved it! The collected them on sand buckets. They only thing they wouldn't do was get pass them to swim.
2 weeks, 6 days, 11hrs & countin....

Griffin was so happy to reconnect with Maurice the sandcastle artist he met last summer. He spent tons of time with him building castles! We even stopped at his gallery and bought three if his painting.

Green Gable Cottages

This was our home for the week!
Just the cutest little cottages, with everything you need including a pool and playground.

Staying here was a highlight for the boys. This is camping for us, so the boys loved being able to hang out with their friends, playing hide and seek, swimming, and late nights!

If you haven't been to Cavendish, it's a great place to vacation with kids!

Highlights from our PEI trip

This year we were lucky enough to go to PEI with two family friends the Skinners and the Lees.

Tony was really happy to finally get to golf while we were there.

The first day they headed to Crowbush and met up with the premiere of PEI to golf. Bill went to university with Robert Ghiz. Kinda of a neat experience golfing at PEIs best course and with the premiere!

There second round of golf was at the green gables course. I love this picture with Anne's house in the background!
