Hockey!

As you know we love our hockey!  Not only watching the boys play but the friendships we've made along the way!
Where else would you rather be than a hockey rink with these ladies on a Friday night!

Captain!

Meet Owen... Captain of the Jr. Bulls Minor PeeWee AE hockey team, I believe the smile says it all!

Owen has wanted to be Captain for the past few years. He has worked hard not only on the ice, but also by showing responsibility, leadership and team spirit!  His work paid off and he is now Captain and you have never met a happier boy!

Tony and I couldn't be prouder!

Pumpkin Carving

 We love our traditions and pumpkin carving is one of our favourites!

This year Griffin carved a cat and some weird face!

 And while I was away...... dad let the boys use a drill to carve the rest of the pumpkins!  I can just imagine how much fun they had!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is a favourite in our household... from decorating outside to dressing up to getting lots of candy!

This year was a bit different, as the boys went trick-or-treating separately with friends!  

Griffin went with his buddies Evan and Jake.  Griffin was dressed up as the emoji poop.  Yes, you read that correctly, Griffin was poop and thought it was just the funniest thing ever!  Long gone are the days of both boys wearing cute puppy dog costumes!

Owen had hockey to start the evening and then he and his buddies Rylee, Davin and Nick hit the neighbourhood to trick-or-treat!

Owen was Jason and the other boys were creepy looking as well!  

 It's become a tradition to have our little friend Cole join us on Halloween!  This year he was a hot dog!  Too cute!

 A highlight for Owen was meeting up with his favourite teacher Mr. Hoover handing out candy in our neighbourhood!

Feeding the Birds!

 Griffin loved feeding the chickadees with Grandpa!  On a quick visit home, we went to the park for a walk and landed upon a couple with bird seed and a flock of chickadees!

Even Grandpa got in on the act with bird see onto his hand!

Even Gizmo was on the bandwagon!

We loved watching the Jays in the playoffs this past October, even if they didn't make it all the way to the World Series!  Even Gizmo got in on the action, sporting his own Blue jays hat!

Soccer Tournament

 A first for the Bird family.... Mom, Owen and Griffin all participating in the soccer tournament! Both boys played on the same soccer team this year and I coached my school team for the very first time! 

The boys faired far better than I did, they came in second and we came in fourth!

This is quite the trio... Evan, Jake and Griff!  These boys are great buddies and were all apart of the soccer team!

Owen was back with his buddies on the soccer team again this year!  He wasn't very pleased coming in second, but still managed a smile with his friends!

Campbell's Orchard Thanksgiving Tradition!

Each year we head to Campbell's orchard on Thanksgiving weekend.  This year was no exception and we had beautiful weather to enjoy the day.  The boys love picking and eating apples, visiting with the animals, walking the corn maze and jumping into the hay!
