The Right Stuff!

I know you are all anxious to hear each and every detail about my NKOTB experience.......
Let me tell you, I was like a teenage girl all over again completely smitten by Joey Joe and the rest of the group.

Marci and I embarked upon our adventure on Sunday Afternoon. We headed downtown Toronto, found a cheap parking spot (15 extra dollars in our pocket) and then went to eat at The Lone Star. There was a movie being filmed just outside the ACC , with Nicolas Cage..... he's not my cup of tea but it was still neat to see. Our dinner was delayed because the tortilla machine broke down. Seriously I was a like a child waiting for Christmas to arrive, I couldn't handle the thought of being late for the concert. Dinner was free (another 40 bucks in our pocket)!

We then headed to the entrance to find a skelper that might have better tickets we could trade up for. Talk about slimy!! We managed to trade up for an extra 40 each (which by this point we felt okay about because of our earlier savings), only to find out we didn't notice the tickets were for two different rows in the same sections......stupid US!!!

Didn't matter, we ended up sitting in some empty seats and managed to stay there the whole time because nobody showed up to sit in them....seriously there wasn't an empty seat anywhere and we managed to find two.

Natasha Beddingfield opened and was great....bad outfit but still good! The atmosphere was sooo much fun. The entire place was filled with girls our age dressed in their old NKOTB tshirts or wearing new ones just purchased. There was even a girl who had made a skirt out of an old pillow case. I couldn't help myself I had to by one! 40 dollars later, I had a tshirt and was ready to go.

The concert was a blast. The entire crowd danced the whole night away. The guys sang all of their old stuff and lots of their new stuff. They looked and sounded great. Our seats were really good, but we decided to try to get a bit closer near the end. Luckily we were able to swindle seats in the fifth row right beside the stage. Literally the guys were 5ft from us. The only drawback was the drunk girl that really wanted us to stay beside her, hug her, dance with her, scream with her, you get the idea. Check out the photo of Marci and the drunk girl!

The concert lasted for two hours, and didn't disappoint! At this point you're all probably laughing at me, but I can't tell you how much fun we had! Certainly a night to remember :)
Our first visit to Canada's Wonderland was a blast! We had been undecided all summer whether we were going to try our luck at Wonderland and are we ever glad we went.

The only hitch in the whole day was Owen's incident getting the stamp on his hand at the gates..... "Me, no stamp"...... and a fit began! Seriously, a fit about having a stamp on his hand. It only lasted minutes, gave many others a chuckle and we were on our way. Who would have thunk Owen would go on a roller coaster? He LOVED it!!! Not to mention loved meeting Dora, Diego, and the superstar himself SCOOBY DOO!!! Griffin, was very much a big boy wanting to do everything his big brother was doing. He loves the rides, and not so much the characters!!

We lasted until 2:30 and by then Griffin had fallen asleep in his stroller and Owen was exhausted. We all can't wait to go back next year, even Owen who declared "me want a green stamp" next time!!!

Thought I would try out a new hair style....what do you think???

Missing Summer Already!

The last day of summer holidays were spent at the Sandbanks! A favourite place for both boys. Owen loves to splash in the water and Griffy is a sand man. This outing was extra fun because friends came along. Anita brought her boys and our neighbours and their two children came as well.

Its hard to believe these pictures were taken just a couple of weeks ago and now I sit here in a warm sweatshirt to keep warm from the cool evenings.

Smores

Smores!

On the last weekend of the summer, we got together with the neighbours for a big camp fire in the back yard to make smores and roast marshmallows. This is something I had been wanting to do with the boys all summer since they have never experienced a campfire.

Fortunately we have a lot a door down this isn't finished yet so we were able to use our chiminia to build a fire and roast are mellow. The kids had a blast and the smores were really tasty!

Back to School

Back to School

Not that there isn't a million things to do on the first day back to or a flush of emotion, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to snap a shot of the boys ready to go back to Nancy. They were both looking very cute in their new sweatshirts and backpacks.

These two little guys are becoming really good buddies. Owen makes it his job to take care of his little brother especially at daycare where the other little ones like to take a bite of my two. Owen knows to tell the kid biting Griffin to "Stop, your hurting my brother", and then go get Nancy.

Griffin was so proud to put on a backpack just like his big brother.

Baby Jasper

Meet Baby Jasper

I know what you are thinking.....but I don't care! I love that Owen has a little baby, and loves to take care of him, and tuck him into bed and feed him a bottle. Too cute! Quite honestly, this newest addition to our family has much to do with Owen's little lady friend next door. The minute he see's Gabrielle with her baby, Owen has to have his too. They take care of their babies, rock them to sleep and then tell everyone to SHHHHH!!!! the babies are sleeping.

Tony tells me to be careful, because we might be adding another boy to the family somewhere down the road, but honestly, he is just a little boy loving his dolly! I'll take what I can get, and for now, I love baby Jasper!

LOVE THEM!!!

Welcome

Welcome to my new blog!!

Fresh starts are in order all around, including a new blog.

September is a love/hate kind of month. I love new beginnings and the anticipation of fall, but with it brings returning to work and leaving my kids at the sitters. There is nothing I would wish for more, than to be able to stay home with my boys, but at this time it is not possible. So, I leave my boys in the very able hands of our beloved sitter Nancy. The boys adore her, they are well taken care of, and I am more than grateful to have her.

The end of the summer came way too fast. But with it came many adventures, including a one night getaway for Tony and I. Yes, can you believe it, I actually left my boys for a night. We went to Buffalo to do a little shopping, but more than anything just a night away. Unfortunately as luck would have it, we both woke up early and dreams of sleeping in were gone. (These shopping pictures are for my Watertown Girls....Think November!!)

As many of you know, I am always planning too much and always have too much on my plate. The start of the school year wasn't any different. As if going back to work, having an exchange student come to live with us and getting the boys to the sitter wasn't enough I had a HUGE neighbourhood party planned for September 6th. I asked the builders to donate some money to throw a meet and greet with the new neighbours and donate they did! We had bouncy castles, door prizes galore, and Pickles the Clown!! The event turned out great, and the planning paid off, but I was glad to have that over.

More than anything, this week I am looking forward to coming home spending sometime with just my family, and settling in yearly.

Some random shots from the past few weeks:
