ASG

All three of wound up going to ASG together!  Owen for shot put, 200m and 400m.  Griffin for 200m and me to blow a whistle and say go!

I'm always so proud of these boys and the effort they put into their events.  Track and field is HUGE for Owen.  He really excels at these events and did well this year again.  Placing first in 200m and 2nd in 400m and 3rd in shot put.  Good enough to head to district in both running events!

Griffin received a 3rd place ribbon for his race and although won't be going to district and was very content with receiving a ribbon!

Baseball Season Has Begun!

Baseball season has begun!  Griffin started playing last year and really enjoyed it.  This year he decided to play both baseball and soccer and is loving it.

Owen chose to play soccer and ball hockey.  Crazily enough there weren't enough kids to make a soccer league for his age.  Owen decided to give baseball a try after much persuasion.

It didn't take long and Owen soon realized he really liked playing baseball!  He landed on a good team with his buddy Christian.  It turns out that he is really good at it!

 Griffin gave pitching a try .....  not sure he wants to try again, but at least he had the opportunity to try it.

 And of course there is always ice cream after he game!

Owen' Birthday Party!!

Owen had 9 of his friends for a pool party with a Survivor theme!

I had a lot of fun planning this party! With lots of Survivor challenges including the food tasting challenge.  The boys freaked out when they saw the pea baby food, sauerkraut, sardines and jelly worms!  Rylee was a star and ate them all!

We also had an auction where the boys had Survivor bucks and bid on items they couldn't see!  Most were fun items but a couple of boys ended up winning boys underpants!  LOL!!

Swimming, games, and cake!  They boys headed to the park for a game of man hunt and then back for a campfire and final swim!

Owen's cake was a pinata filled cake!  The boys were excited to see the candy spill out when it was sliced into!  Except for Owen who just wanted a fun fetti cupcake!

This smile says it all!  Owen loved his party and especially the games!

Owen turns 12!

Owen is 12!  It is hard to believe that my first is already 12 years old.  Owen is a wonderful, kind hearted, competitive, fun loving boy! Owen has matured so much this year.  It has been such a pleasure watching him turn into such a fine young man.  His birthday is a wonderful reflection on just how much this boy has grown!

All her really wanted to for his birthday was hockey cards and cash!  He was pretty easy to please. 

For his birthday he decided he wanted to take a few friends to Canada's Wonderland for the day!  It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for Owen and his friends to enjoy at the park!

Owen, Nick, Christian, and his friend Davin all spent the day riding the coasters and hitting the water park!  More pics to follow!
