Happy Halloween!!

I think you already know this, but Halloween is my favourite time of the year! I think this has rubbed off onto Owen! He just couldn't get enough. There wasn't a house left to trick or treat at in our entire subdivision. Tony even had the boys trading hats and wigs to trick to trick the Lorne to get more candy... very funny!!

The boys looked great in their costumes. Owen was Luigi and his buddy Alex was Mario! It took a little convincing but Owen actually wore the mustache. Griffin had decided early on to be a knight, but shortly after he just had to be a Ninga Turtle (daddy wasn't too impressed with two costumes being purchased).

Once we arrived home, the boys dumped their candy bags, and we had a pile high of sure delight.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Fright Night at Phantom Farms

I LOVE a good haunted corn maze! This year we decided to take a road trip with our friends the Brookers and travel to Phantom Farms for a haunted wagon ride. The wagon had three walls around the outside of it much like a boxcar and rows of seats. A tractor pulled you into a farmers field where the haunting began. There were many scenes with creepy scary guys jumping out at you and jumping up onto the wagon... it well really well put together but not too scary! Mainly because you were in an enclosed wagon, and creepers weren't able to jump at you and scare you to death!

Halloween Party for the boys!

Luigi minus the moustache (he refused to wear it) and Griffin as a Ninja Turtle!
We hosted a Halloween Party for the boys yesterday. I love planning parties... once it was done being planned, and decorated I could have easily checked out! But the party and games, must go on!
I am glad I had several activities planned, included crafts, game and a hunt outside. Any down time could have meant chaos. The kids had a great time, I believe their favourite part was hiding when a new guest arrived and jumping up and scaring them.

Moving Day

Today was a sad day in our neighourhood. Our good friends and Owen's best friend moved. Our car ride to school this morning consisted of helping Owen deal with his sadness that he was losing his best friend.

This evening, the Emons were having dinner at our house and I asked Alex if he was excited to be moving and he said no, he was sad that he was moving away from his best friend but that it would be okay because best friends are always best friends. Owen responded by telling Alex that probably won't happen because that's what happens when time goes by. I think Owen has spent a lot of time thinking about this situation and trying make sense of it all.

For a final goodbye, all the neighbours came over for a coffee and to say goodbye. The kids had a blast together and posed for a few pictures.

Goodbye to our friends, thanks for the memories!!

Dinner Swap

Last night both Tony called Lorne to see if he wanted the last piece of our lasagna.... which he loves, and when he arrived with a bowl of his own chicken and dumplings, they swapped dinners. Did I mention they had already finished eating their own dinner :)

Halloween Craft Fun!

This weekend the boys and the neighbourhood kids made spider webs! They turned out pretty cute!

Oh Montreal...

Girls Night Out

On Saturday evening, we went out for Sarah's final girls night out before she moves. We went to a nice new restaurant and then to a store called Off the Hook that holds shopping parties, and back to Carmela's later in the evening. Fun!
