He Shoots, He Scores

Owen is in his second year of TimBit hockey and he loves it!

Last night Owen's team played at the Bull's game. They were brought out to sing at the National Anthem and then again to play at the second intermission. Owen was pumped! He was really excited to get out there and score a goal on Bullie!
Owen scored two goals against Ringo... and with seconds left he just missed his third shot! It was very exciting to watch as he raised his arm in the air to show his excitement in scoring. Owen is quite humble and tries very hard not to smile as hard as he can we he is proud of something he did, and last night was no exception, but when he got off the ice, he couldn't wait to tell me he had scored twice. He was very proud of himself, and I was too!
Last night Griffin fell in love with Ringo and Bullie! We followed them around and he insisted we develop the pictures on put them on his dresser for him right away.

Happy Birthday Theo

We celebrated Theo's birthday on Friday night! Good Fun!

"Wicked" Weekend!

I spent this weekend with 11 of my girlfriends in Toronto! We went shopping, enjoyed Thai Food, and a night at the theatre to see the musical Wicked. This is the second time I have seen this musical and I fell in love with it just as much this time as I did the first. If you haven't seen it, you really should. It is the story of the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz, and how she came to be.
The picture above is all of us with one of the cast members who played the flying monkey.

Some of the Latest

During my University years in Ottawa... Tom Green was a comedian that had his own show on the local cable station and my friends and I had gone to see the show a few times. So when I heard Tom Green was coming to town, I needed to see him! Fortunately, my neighbour just happened to go to highschool with him, and got us tickets. The show was good, same jokes, same sense of humour! It almost felt like reliving some of the good old university years. It was a fun evening out! Thanks Brookers!

Look closely..... Owen wrote his ENTIRE letter to Santa! The last few weeks Owen has been wanting to read, and spending a lot of time writing and sounding out words, and last night he wrote his entire letter to Santa Claus. We went to Toys R Us to let the boys search out the toys and find some things they wanted to ask Santa for. Owen on the other hand had a harder time finding things he wanted. He did find a Fur Real little kitten that purrs when you pet it and just had to have it! He also wanted a Dinosaur Race Set and a Camera.
Griffin was easily able to point out many things, and when he found the fire station he was very excited and told his daddy how he had wanted that for so many years!
We made these cute little spider Halloween Hand print crafts. Just had to share!

Halloween

Owen was Batman and Griffin just had to be Spiderman this year for Halloween. This is the first year that Griffin really knew what was in store for him and he simply couldn't wait. The week leading up to Halloween, he would wake up through the night and come into our room and ask "How many more sleeps until Halloween?".

The night before had been very busy for the boys and they stayed up later than they normally did, and we certainly paid for it the next day. Owen had a break down before nap in the afternoon and Griffy was so tired when I woke him up after his nap and didn"t want to go trick or treating he just wanted to stay and sleep. The scene that followed wasn't pretty.... me forcing him to put on his costume to go out for Halloween!

Alas, they had a blast! Owen ran house ahead of everyone, and Griffy just couldn't get enough candy! The boys already have next year planned out.
