Happy 5th Birthday Owen!

Five years ago today, I was in the hospital after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy born at 3:28pm. This is the moment my life changed, for the better. I couldn't imagine a day going by with this little guys hug, kisses, and smile! You make me a better person Owen, and I love you more than you could ever know. Happy Birthday!

How to Train your Dragon

Seriously... I have yet to have one of my children pick a birthday theme that is easy to prepare for.

This year Owen has chosen "How to Train your Dragon". Imagine this, the party supplies are not liscensed in Canada!

I had this brilliant idea, that Tony and I would drive over to Buffalo last weekend while my parents took the boys to see walking with dinosaurs. We started off our trip to Party City with an hour and 45 minute wait to cross the border. Nothing makes me more upset than watching 32 cars pass me in the next lane, arriving at Party City and to be told that the product line I wanted was only carried on line and not in the stores! You think they might mention this on the website somewhere!!

So now, I am creating my own How to Train your Dragon birthday party! Ideas anyone?

Decisions, decisions... Owen spent a lot of time debating where he wanted his party this year. After all of the options he had he has decided on the Monster Mini Putt in the Mall's parking lot! And it is a BOYS only party!

Stay tuned for pictures from this upcoming event!!

Crazy Days & Soccer Guys

June is crazy!!!

There are so many things to do and plan and finish up before the school year is over.
Owen started up soccer again this year and to our surprise, Griffy was allowed to join the team as well. Tony was really hesitant to let Griffin join the team because he thought he was still too young. I persisted until finally Griffy was on the team. Wouldn't you know, Griffy didn't want anything to do with it! I ran around like a fool with him for the first game. He then was in net. Shortly a ball came and he didn't want anything to do with it so he layed down in fetal position and started crying. Coach Tony told the kid with the ball from the opposing team to go ahead and score and the kid kicked the ball right into Griffin's head! Perfect memory of Griffin's first game. He has gotten better. He will at least get out and run with Tony, but only because he has been threated that he won't get a popsicle if he doesn't play :)

Owen on the other hand is a real soccer guy this year! He scored for his first time ever in his second game of the season and last week he scored 4 times. I love the smile on his face when he is being told he did a great job... a proud face trying hard not to smile! Love it!
