Beach time = Summertime

it's not summer time without a trip to the beach! The boys always have a blast when we head out to the sandbanks provincial beach with all of their friends! Swimming, building sand castles, covering our friends in sand, summertime equals beach time!

Old Quebec City!!

We always save old Quebec city for last stop on the way home from Prince Edward Island. this time we had a great time exploring the downtown and going on a ghost walk at night! And we can't forget the crepes!

The Best of PEI

we always go on amazing adventures when were in Prince Edward Island including exploring different lighthouses, beaches, jumping Bridges, great food, and enjoying the atmosphere!

Cavendish Country Festival

We went early to Prince Edward Island this summer so that we could go to the Cavendish country music festival! We are very excited to see a lot of the bands, but mostly Carrie Underwood. The concert was amazing, we had a ton of fun and the kids had a real learning experience!

Thunder rock PEI

it's amazing it doesn't matter how many times you've been tripping settled Island there's always something new to discover! This year we went to a beach cub thunder rock that have these beautiful rock formations!

Oh No!! Look who is staying beside us!!

This is how we were introduced to where we were staying for two weeks on our family vacation! We arrived in the driveway to find a group of young 20 year olds with beer helmets on walking out to us to welcome us! The following four days were never dull.

We made it to PEI!!

Our family vacation to Prince Edward Island always starts at cow's ice cream just as across the bridge! This family vacation was no different. We stopped in each got a double scoop cone of our very favourite ice cream!

Canada Day Camping Adventure

on Canada day we rented a trailer at a friend's campsite and went camping for the long weekend. Just take a look at how much stuff we packed to go for just two nights! The boys had a blast hanging out with their friends fishing and staying up late! We all decided at the end of it we much prefer to just stay at our own home and not camp!

Owen's Grade 8 Graduation!

It's hard to believe that Owen is graduating from grade 8! He set himself some very big goals this year. One was to make honour roll and he did! Number two was to receive the athlete of the year award which he did! Congratulations to setting your mind to something and making it happen! We are very proud of you Owen! You are headed to great things in high school!

Track and Field Star

This boy is in his final grade of elementary school and went on to win yet another district ribbon at track and field this year! He made it to track and field every single year and won a ribbon in his event! You can see by his festival that he's very proud of all us accomplishments as are we! On to high school next year!

March Break Cruisin

we took the boys on their second cruise on March break to the Caribbean! We brought along two families of friends and had a great time. We hit the beach we went shopping we enjoyed great food and entertainment on the ship! The boys had a great time and we basically didn't see them all week as they were hanging out with their friends!

Basketball Fever

Griffin has absolutely developed the love for basketball! He played on the Belleville spirits team this year and also was part of his school team that won the tournament!

Beach themed bedroom makeover

I had a lot of fun creating a makeover for our bedroom. I decided to go with a beach theme and incorporate our love for Prince Edward Island. I created my own framed art over the bed redid the dresser and Marci's mom created a beautiful painting of a Beach.

Skating with my best friends

Griffin got a good use out of our brand new outdoor rink in our neighbourhood this winter! regularly he would invite his friends over and they would go skating at the rink for hours upon hours no matter how cold it got!

New Years Eve!

We spent New Years Eve with our hockey family at the Brummell's house!  The kids have a great time hanging out with each other and even got in on the tradition of building a pyramid this year.  I think they really just wanted to fall on each other!

As a group we were definitely missing Sylvain this year.  It seems hard to believe that he was part of our pyramid last year, wearing the goofy wig and now he isn't here.  Absolutely missed, but never forgotten.
