Winterlude!

 Last weekend we went to Winterlude in Ottawa!

It was the boys first time going to Winterlude, and skating on the Rideau Canal!  I don't think they had any idea how far they were about to skate, but they were troopers and skated a total of 12km from one end to the other!

 This will definitely be a new Family Day Tradition!  

Hopefully new year we will get to stay longer

 Of course there were some pit stops for hot chocolate and the famous Beavertails!

Griffin's New Hockey Bedroom!

 These pictures don't do it justice, but Griffin's room turned out great!  On his accent wall, is a rink with red and blue lines to boot!

Valentine's Day!

 Kids just love Valentine's day, and that includes these two boys!  We spent a lot of time picking out the perfect Valentines.  Griffin chose to make Ninja valentines and Owen though it was cool to give his classmates gum!

We spent Valentine's day evening together as a family, 

at your guessed it... the rink for Owen's game! At least I was with my special guys!

Hardest Working Player!

 

We are very proud of our hardest working player not just because he received the "hardest working player hat", but because he consistently goes out and works hard!

This team may not be victorious but they sure have had a lot of fun and learned a lot along the way. It is easy to be blinded by the string of losses these kids have endured, but they have come along way and should be proud of their accomplishments!

We are in playoffs right now, and have not had a win yet.  This Saturday might possible be their last game as a team.  I have one very sad little boy, who is going to miss the bonds he has made with his team mates.
