"Mom, can you get them to re-do our school this summer, so they will be late finishing and we can get a few extra weeks of summer like Harmony did?"
Couple thoughts there... Even a 7 year has figured out construction is always late.
Does he really think I have that much power at school?
And lastly, I'm thinking someone is ready for March Break!!
Seconds later he had another great thought....
"Mom, we don't need to buy goats at school, we really should spend the money on something kids want, like a fence for the soccer field!"
( our school has been fundraising for goats as a global project).
I guess it takes a child to point out the obvious! I just wish life were that simple!
