March Break Fun!

As much as we dread the drive, road trips are actually fun! Our road trip this March break took us to Myrtle Beach.  We were really undecided as to whether we were actually going to go because the weather had been quite cool in Myrtle Beach.  But warm weather came in just in time.  In fact we had fantastic hot weather.  High of 27 on a few of the days!

Our family is also a little crazy about just driving and driving.... we had actually planned to stop for the night on the way down, but ended up driving the whole way through!  We arrived at midnight in Myrtle beach and checked into a hotel with 20 degree weather.

The next day we up early and ready to explore Myrtle Beach!  We had four families in town that we knew and spent loads of time mini putting, beaching, dinners out, and hanging at the pool together!

This picture is a view from our walk way to the beach!
The kids had a lot of fun in the lazy river at our hotel.  There were also 2 indoor water parks that they loved as well!  The last time we were in Myrtle Beach it was far too cold to use any of the outdoor pools or beach. It was a real treat this time!

The boys discovered Build a Bear for boys... but with remote control cars.  They got to pick out all the parts and even some fancy accessories to add to their cars.  Only catch.... very very expensive!

One of our favourite activities was walking the beach in the morning and looking for sea shells. After meeting someone that had found shark teeth, our walks quickly turned into a whole new adventure.... shark teeth was our hunt!  We were able to find a few, but it was hard work!

Boardwalk at the Beach is a tourist attraction with Imax, shops, mini putting, tons of restaurants and tons of fun!  One evening we met up with the Lees and Yeos for dinner!

These are a few of my favourite family beach shots!  I was hoping to get some on one of the hot days, but the boys taking turns being sick cut into our hot weather days!

A great time had by our entire family!  Glad we made the decision to go!
