Graduation Day!

Griffin's graduation day was a disappointment.  As the kids had been attending school virtually, we were optimistic that with the covid numbers getting better each day that an outdoor graduation ceremony might be possible. Unfortunately, the kids were only allowed to have a drive-by graduation ceremony, where they waited in a line up of cars for their turn to drive to the front of the school and once it was their turn they hopped out to receive their certificate from their teacher.  Griffin didn't even want to go, as this is not what he had hoped for.  It is very sad that this group of students has missed their entire intermediate school years due to the pandemic.  Congratulations Griffin!

At home, we tried to make it as special as possible with decorations and having a few friends over to celebrate.

I was lucky enough to be able to walk Griffin through the school for some photos as I teach at his school.  Griff really appreciated the opportunity to see the school one last time before moving on to high school.
