Cruising into the new year!

New Years Eve 2022!!

We boared the Carnival Spirit on December 31st to start our 8 day cruise! The Lees Family and The Toop Family travelling with us! We were excited as we hadn't been on a cruise since our 2020 cruise was cancelled due to Covid.

Our cruise was taking us to St. Maarten, St. Kitts, San Juan and Dominican Republic!

Our room had four New Years Eve hats for us to start the party!

We had our first dinner and it had a special New Years Eve Menu! 

The guys all had many entrees to try everything!

It was also formal night ao we all got to dress up. 

You can see how thrilled the boys were to take a family picture!

The ladies cleaned up well with sparkly dresses for New Years Eve!

The party on the ship was a lot of fun! 

We went to a couple shows including a comedy show and then to a dance party

with champagne and glow up sticks  and necklaces!

Happy New Years! I can't imagine celebrating any other way from now on!

 

A Little Different Christmas!

Instead of our usual Turkey dinner we were invited to our neighbour Lornes for dinner and then back to our house for cards.

On the 27th we drove up to Cambridge to celebrate Christmas with my family. It was different but at least we still got to visit.

 

My favourite Christmas Gift!

All I asked for from the boys at Christmas was a picture with Santa Claus!

They refused! I know, they are a bit too old for photos with Santa, but I have them from every year and all displayed with my Christmas decorations. They mean the world to me.

I was very disappointed when they refused to go.

Until Christmas morning and low and behold there were my photos!

I literally cried I was so happy.

Thank you boys for making your mom's Christmas dreams come true.... 

and in great style!

 

Christmas Day 2022

The stockings were hung by the fireplace with care... 

in hopes that Saint Nick soon would appear.

This was a different Christmas as a blizzard took over our province and all the hiways were shut down.

My family wasn't able to come for Christmas. It was the first year that 

we spent without them. 

Even though it was quiet we made the best out of it. The boys were happy with their gifts and they did a great job picking gifts for us as well!

Maggie Moo loves her stocking!

Even mom and dad got into the picture taking!

I got a new winter coat from Griffin and Tony got hockey gloves!

Gizmo loves Christmas too!

Mu favourite gift was of course the fireplace Tony made me! 

 I was thrilled to have him do such a nice thing for me :)

 

New Years Eve Dress Selection!

Our family is heading on a cruise over the holidays which includes New Years Eve!

I wanted a fancy dress that I could bring with me. Sarah's store had lots of great options. Can you guess which one I picked?

 

Varsity Hockey Duo!

Both Griffin and Owen made the school's varsity hockey team!

 They even get to be on the same defense line! 

This is a special memory for them!
