Darien Lake
We headed across the border to spend three days at Darien Lake with our friends the Lees and Skinners!
Just before leaving the water park
Griffin had a blast at the night light show. He was a true entertainer, dancing up a storm to each song!
Owen was in heaven winning BIG at the arcade!
He had over 6000 tickets by the end of our stay and won himself a pair of waterfall lighted speakers.... Amazing!!!
Our home sweet stinky home!
What a great, inexpensive family trip! We camped in trailers just minutes from the park. We hit the rides and water park for three days straight. Camp fires, light/laser show at night, and fun with our friends.
One of the best parts was that the kids were old enough to go off for an hour or two on their own and meet back up with us.
A great week and hopefully a new summer tradition!
Buffalo Bisons Game
After our week at Darien Lake, we headed to Syracuse to catch the blue Jays farm team play. I had no idea what a cool experience this would be.
Not only did we get to watch Ryan Goins and Chris Collabello play but the boys had a chance to catch balls, get autographs and their picture taken with the players.
Hot dogs and drinks were just $1.00 and there were fireworks at the end of the game! A perfect family outing.
We were told that the team would walk out to their bus at the end of the game and we could possibly get more autographs. Owen just had to do it!
We waited even though we had a 3hr ride home. All the players were gracious and signed their ball. Chris Collabello was very friendly kidding around with the boys and snapping pictures.
The only disappointment of the night was waiting for Goins to be the last to exit and stopping quickly to sign 5 autographs and then saying he was late and had to go. Fortunately both boys got his autograph.
A great night to end our week away!
