Captain of his Hockey Team!

This C means Captain of his Hockey team and it is well deserved!  Owen is the most passionate boy about hockey that you will ever meet!  He earned this C because he competitive, hard working, passionate, caring, determined, and confident!  He is a team leader and is the right boy for the job!
Congratulations Owen, you earned it!

More Hockey Cards....

Hockey cards and more hockey cards..... they boys are still collecting and trading.  One night Owen and I sat at a Tim Hortons and waited for over an hour as Owen asked each customer if they would purchase him a pack of cards for the cheaper amount of $1.  He had all of his change ready to give them.  One lady even bought him a pack for free!

Then we heard about a trading night.  Off we went to Trenton to meet up for a Hockey Card trading night.  Tony laughed as he knew exactly what kind of people would be there.

This man in the picture was a wonderful guy.  He had hundreds of extra cards, and three complete sets.   By the end of the night, he had given both boys enough cards to complete their sets for them.  A very generous man that made these boys night!

Soccer Tournament!

Griffin played in the soccer tournament again this year and his team won again!  2 years in a row!
I coached the girls team, we came in second.  Owen helped me coach and was invited to come along and ref for the tournament!
Just another perk of teaching at the boys school!

My Little Artist does it Again!

Griffin is back at his art class and loving it even more.  How could he not, when he is painting dragons!  This water colour piece is incredible!  I love the colours he chose!  This is a framer for sure!

Annual Trip to the Apple Orchard

 It isn't fall without a trip to Campbell's Apple Orchard!  The boys look forward to all of the traditions of our visit.  Picking apples, climbing the ladder, feeding the pig, petting the dog, wagon rides and more!

This place holds many memories for our family.  It is a tradition we just wouldn't miss.  Griffin loves candy apples, Owen loves picking an apple from the tree and eating it.  They both love climbing the ladder to find the perfect apple.

I love the apple cider and of course the pictures to capture the day!

Tim Horton Hockey Cards

The boys LOVE when the Tim Horton hockey cards are for sale in the Fall!  Love might not be a strong enough word.  We travel from store to store.  They stand in line and ask customers to purchase them packs so they can purchase them for $1 instead of $2, they trade with friends, and they argue amongst themselves about who has the better cards

Owen is more passionate about his collection than his brother, but that is usually the way it goes. 
Grandma and Grandpa surprised them with a special delivery just before Thanksgiving.  20 packs of cards to share.

We stopped on our way to school to pick up the parcel.  Their faces say it all.... pure delight!

District Cross Country Meet

Unbelievable.... Owen came in 6th at his District Cross Country Meet.  He went from 36th last year to 6th this year!  His hard work has paid off!  Congratulations to this determined, competitive, passionate boy!
