We absolutely love PEI and returned this summer for our 6th time! Our first stop is always at the welcome centre just pass the Confederation Bridge to get our first COWS ice cream cone! Wowie Cowie is our favourite, even Owen tried it this year! If you know me, you know I love ice cream and this is my very favourite!!
We made a pit stop in Victoria by the Sea on our way to our cottage. This is a quaint little town with a light house and some shops and restaurants.
Griffin has been going to the orthodontist for over a year now and within the past year he has had to have 6 teeth pulled to make room for his new teeth to grow in.
This summer Griffin had to have 2 teeth pulled! I don't know if you can see or not, but the teeth are HUGE!! I had several times to make sure they were actually pulling baby teeth because they didn't seem like it! In fact the dentist how to go 3 times to get bigger plyers to pull it out!
These were the last of Griffin's baby teeth which also means the last visit from the Tooth Fairy!
My favourite summer hobby is scrapbooking! Each year I print all my pictures from the year, set up my scrapbooking table and gather my supplies and complete an entire year of scrapbooking in one summer!
I just love how my layouts turned out!
This year I spent a lot of time at Marci's scrapbooking room which was awesome because her space is big with lots of supplies and tools!
If you know me, you know my hair pretty much stays the same.... but not this summer! I went blond!! I love it! A big change for me!!
We talked about it all summer and it finally happened! Marci, Lisa, Erica and myself headed for the border to go to Target to do some back to school shopping! You can just imagine the fun we had shopping together and the money that was spent! Well by two of us anyway!
We headed to Rib Fest with my parents! Owen had particularly been really looking forward to it and he discovered this year just how much he loves ribs! Owen has certainly been broadening his taste buds this year trying almost everything!
The boys had some fun meeting Pikachu (well they posed for me!)
But they had the most fun when we let them play in this Sumo Balls! You can just imagine the havoc that these two together caused running and bumping into others including themselves! They had always wanted to try these and they loved it!
Six years later we headed back to the Brighton Speedway. The boys had a lot of fun as it was fan appreciation night. Half way through all of the racers came on the track and fans were allowed down to get autographs and each racer had a treat for the kids.... it was like Halloween, going from racer to racer and receiving treats! The boys were in heaven!
Tony and I remembered pretty quickly why it had taken us 6 years to go back.... it was very loud and very dirty! We were covered in a layer of dirt by the time we left.
I had the boys re-enact the picture I had taken of them 6 years ago (always a fav) and I love how it turned out!
