Summer Reading

Who knew that Judy Blume wrote adult books! When I saw this book it brought back memories from reading all her books as a girl. This book didn't disappoint. It was a quick read!
I am currently reading Come Home. I have read a couple of this authors books and have really enjoyed them!

Last summer it was Fault in the Stars. This summer Paper Towns is John Greens summer book turn movie. Certainly not as good as fault in the stars but I still enjoyed it!

First evening Jays Game

We couldn't have asked for a more exciting game! 9-7 win for the jays with a grand slam and a triple!

We got lucky to have the dome open and to have good seats.

Owen was very interested in the game. This is the first time we didn't go on a jr jays day with lots of games and activities for the kids. But the boys sure had some excitement to watch with this game.

Even Griffin got into it!  Here he is doing the sprinkler dancing with his brother. They managed to get on the jumbo tron which made their night!

Sky Zone

We headed to Toronto yesterday to see a jays game but first stopped at Sky Zone for a little trampoline fun!

Griffin was very excited to go. He really wants a trampoline but there is just not enough yard left at our house for one. He has been busy learning kart wheels and back flips all summer.

The boys loved it! Jumping, flipping, slam dunking, and dodge ball.

Their time sure did go by fast!

Anniversary pages done!

I just completed these two!

More Scrapping!

Long weekend Boat Adventure!

This past weekend our friends Marci and Shae took us on their boat along with the Brookers. The kids were very excited as the last time we went it was just adults.

On our first day we landed in Kingston for the night first stopping to swim in the lake and have lunch. We went out for dinner in Kingston and then for ice cream.

On our second day we headed to Alexandria bay in the 1000 islands. Stopping at Ross Mcdougalls cottage on one of the islands.

That evening we spent in A Bay and had dinner. The next morning we were departing in what looked to be a storm. Fortunately the dark skies were gone by lunch and the waves although big were ok

We stopped for swimming and lunch and arrived home by 5.

We can't thank marci and Shae enough. This was a cool experience for the kids that I'm sure they won't forget too soon!

Camp

Owen is back from camp and had a blast! He went with 5 of his buddies from hockey and they all were in the same cabin. This year he went for a whole week!

Last year when we arrived to pick him up he was upset because it was time to go. I tried coming a bit later this year but still ended up being the first parent from his group but this year he was all smiles!  The boys were all standing together with their trophy the golden glove for being the cleanest cabin all week!

I loved hearing his stories about camp. The games, the fun, the dance, the sleepover in tents one night. Owen even tried the sloppy joes this year. His favorite was the Mississippi mud pie dessert. Unfortunately the pool was out of commission and it was the hottest week of the summer.

Owen got a certificate for polar bear dipping each morning!

He loved the surprise treats I left for him !

By the next day he was asking to go back. You can't ask for a better experience from a camp!
