Jenny From the Block turns 35

On Friday, it wasn't just my last day of school for the year, but it was also a girl's night at the trailer for Jenny's Birthday!

7 of us headed out into what we didn't think would turn a one hour drive into a three hour drive to our destination.  Fortunately, we were able to stop for Marble Slab Ice Cream!

When we arrived we quickly decorated for the birthday, and waited for the guest of honour to arrive.  We had a lot of fun chatting, eating, swimming, playing Truth or Dare and much more.

Of Course the award goes to Jenny herself for her midnight antics just before bed.  Yes, we all know what she was upto!

and of course what better way to end the weekend than visiting with a parrot!

Sailing

On the weekend we were invited to go Sailing with friends of ours.  We have never been sailing so this was a first!

We sailed out to a cove, anchored and swam in the Bay, had some lunch, swam some more and spent the afternoon in the sun.

We had a blast.  The day was perfect!

Happy Birthday Canada!

We headed to the beach for Canada's Day!  We took in the rides on the pier, a parade, visited the vendors and spent some time on the beach!  It was wonderful!

In the evening, the Brown's invited us out for dessert, a swim and fireworks.  We had a great time.  The fireworks were great!  We even arrived home in time to see the rest of the display our backyard neighbours were putting on!

Griffin has three teaches at Montessori, so we thought this starbuck card would be the perfect present.

I was able to download the card, with cardstock added to the back and added the coffee corrugated cup holder, and ribbon from Martha Stewart.

Owen's Last Day of School

Flowers and present for Mrs. Flynn
Owen has had a wonderful year in Grade One. He was very blessed to have such a wonderful teacher.  Owen will tell you how lucky he was to have such a nice teacher.  It goes along way to such a wonderful influence on your child.

Owen did really well in Grade One and we are very proud of his accomplishments.  On the last day he came home with a bag full of his work and a memory book Mrs. Flynn had made for him.  He was fun to look at his growth over the year.  Way to go Owen!

Griffin's First Loose Tooth

Griffin has been asking and asking when he would have a loose tooth and to our surprise his bottom tooth was loose!

Griffin wiggled and wiggled and on Wednesday, daddy was able to take it out.  Griffin was very excited for the Tooth Fairy to visit.  And even more delighted when she left him five shiny loonies!

Cute Smile!

Thank you Mrs. Wright
Griffin is finished his first year of school!  We are very proud of him.  He accomplished so much, and has made new friends, and most of all he just loved school.  Thank you Mrs. Wright for all you have done for Griffin this year.  We know that you are a big reason that Griffin loves school!
